Designed by Singgih Kaortono who teaches and supervises artisans in an Indonesian farming community who create each piece by hand. Harvesting materials for and production of the desk set follows best sustainable practices. T-shaped joints insure strength and add an interesting design detail to the set, stripped down to the minimal size to be functional and save prized working space on your desk.

Artist Bio
Singgih Karotono is an Indonesian designer and entrepreneur who helped transform his agricultural village in Central Java. He developed a high-quality process for manufacturing a wide range of handcrafted wooden pieces and replants trees he uses in local forests. Working with European and American buyers, he created a market for his products and grew his business, which now employs 30 members of this village.

Karl Zahn is a freelance product designer who studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Denmark Design School. He uses his skills to develop and fabricate everything from lighting to restaurant interiors, yoyos for entry-level players and whimsical animal-shaped boxes.

Jeff Davis’ bowls, made from recycled, vintage 33 rpm vinyl records, put the right spin on entertaining. Use them to hold business cards, wrapped candies, outgoing mail or other loose items. A mylar seal protects each record label and seals the spindle hole in the center. Do not use them to hold liquids or hot items.

Note: Because the bowls are made from limited quantities of unplayable records, we can’t fill orders for specific artists.

To care for vinyl bowls, wipe clean by hand with a moist cloth. Do not place in direct sunlight. Not dishwasher or microwave safe. Handmade in USA.
